Men and Women's Swimming Fall to Hood College
Hood College was just too much for both the men and women's swim teams, as the men fell 118-44 and the women lost 134-49. The men, competing in the first season as a collegiate team, are still looking for that elusive first victory, while the women have won three competitions this season.
Alex Farrell and Dani Horne were the top finishers for Greensboro. Horne finished first 100 yard backstroke and second in the 50 freestyle. Farrell finished second in both the 100 yard breaststroke and 200 yard freestyle.
Brian Carter also grabbed a second place finish in the 50 yard freestyle, Dominic Hehner nabbed second in the 100 yard freestyle, and Ryan Hurd finished third behind Farrell in the 200 yard freestyle.
On the women's side, Emma Phillips finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke, a full second ahead of second place. Taylor White recorded a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle.
The men and women's swim teams will be back in action on December 16th when the travel to LaGrange.
