Patrick Haines joins the Sports Information staff for the 2011-2012 athletic season.  Haines comes to Greensboro after spending one year working on his Master's Degree at Baylor University.

The Fairmont, West Virginia, native graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2010 with Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Administration.  While at Wesleyan, Haines played four years of soccer under the direction of Gavin Donaldson.  During Haines' time at Wesleyan, the team won regular season conference titles (2006, 2008) and the conference tournament championship (2007).

In addition to four years of soccer, he also helped out in a variety of roles for Sports Information at Wesleyan.  Among his duties included Public Address announcing, video production, website maintenance, sports writing, statkeeper and more.

Prior to college, Haines attended Fairmont Senior High School.  A three year starter on the varsity soccer team, Haines helped lead the team to three of its the most successful seasons in school history.  Haines' senior year remains the most successful in school history with the team posting a 21-2-1 record and allowing only eight goals on the season.  The team won both the regular season and conference tournament titles and lost in the state championship to Parkersburg High School, 1-0.  Haines was a three time All-Conference award winner at goalkeeper and 2nd team All-State his senior year.

He currently resides in Greensboro and is engaged to Heather Mauger, a native of Gahanna, Ohio.
