Mitch Fastenau joined The Pride staff in June after spending three years at West Virginia Wesleyan College.  His first two years at West Virginia Wesleyan were spent as an assistant in Sports Information before being promoted to the full-time role of Director of Sports Information and Promotions in May of 2010.

During his time at West Virginia Wesleyan, Fastenau handled the sports information duties for the largest athletic department in the state of West Virginia; consisting of 19 varsity programs.  In addition, he helped initiate and launch the live stat and streaming programs.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Fastenau also earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration from West Virginia Wesleyan.

Prior to his stint at West Virginia Wesleyan, Fastenau spent a year working with the Iowa Energy, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls and Phoenix Suns.  Among his duties with the first year organization included developing corporate partnerships and promoting season ticket packages.  Fastenau helped the franchise set an NBA Development League attendance record.

Following his graduation from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Fastenau also spent time as a business intern with the Hagerstown Suns, the Class A baseball affiliate of the Washington Nationals.

Fastenau is originally from Des Moines, Iowa, and now resides in Greensboro.
