Position: Head Volleyball Coach

Jean Lojko is entering her 30th year as women's volleyball coach at Greensboro College in 2011-12.

While leading the volleyball program at GC, Lojko has compiled a 622-409 record.  Under her tutelage, Greensboro volleyball has earned national rankings during four seasons, and regional rankings during 14 seasons. The Pride has claimed the conference regular season title eight times, while winning the tournament title an additional four times.

Lojko also previously coached the women’s basketball and women’s tennis teams at GC.  In April of 2007 Lojko became the first active staff member inducted into the Greensboro College Athletics Hall of Fame.

In March, 2007, Lojko received the Empowerment Award--Coaches & Teachers at the YWCA Greensboro 1st Annual Girls & Women in Sports Awards Dinner at the Greensboro Coliseum. Lojko served 11 years on the AVCA Board of Directors and has served on the NCAA national and regional volleyball committees.

In addition, Lojko served as Associate Director of Athletics at Greensboro College from 2002-2009 and Athletics Director from 2009-2012. She also had been the department's Senior Woman Administrator and was elevated to Associate Professor of Physical Education in 2006.

A Greensboro native, Lojko attended Western Guilford High School. She completed a bachelor's degree at UNC Greensboro in 1980, and received a master's degree in health and physical education from Appalachian State University in 1983.
