Sutton Successful
Greensboro College's David Sutton posted a program-best 12-0 record at #1 tennis singles in 2007. The next year, he became GC's first ever alternate to the NCAA tournament.
2005 Softball
The 2005 Greensboro College Pride softball team posted 24 wins and finished second in the USA South Athletic Conference—both GC bests.
Student-Athlete Academic Success
From 2003 to 2007, Greensboro College athletes led the USA South Conference with the most student-athletes achieving academic team honors.
Cooke Made Cut
Alex Cooke is the only Pride swimmer to achieve the NCAA B-Cut--which she hit in the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons.
Eccles Set USAS Record
Dione Eccles scored a USA South record (both for men and women) 54 points in Greensboro College women's basketball 's conference tournament semifinal win. The Pride defeated the Panthers, 117-113 in double overtime, on Feb., 29, 2008.
Pacifico was a Smash
Carrie Pacifico was named the USA South women's tennis player of the year in 2006, '07 and '08. She did not lose a conference match during those three years.
Pride Women Excelled
In the first year of presenting separate All-Sports trophies, the Greensboro College women won the 2004-05 USA South President’s Cup.
National Title Games

Greensboro College men's soccer reached the NCAA Division III championship game in both 1989 and 1998.

Theriault the Runner
In his first year of intercollegiate cross country, Francois Theriault finished second at the 2006 USA South Cross Country championships, the highest placing in the history of the program. He later earned all-region honors, a first for a GC harrier.
2007 Team Set Record
The 2007 Greensboro College women's soccer team set a program record with 14 wins.
Pride Service
In 2007-08, Pride teams participated in more than 1000 hours of community service with local charitable organizations.
Lax Champions
Greensboro College women’s lacrosse captured four consecutive USA South Athletic Conference titles from 2001 to 2004.
Pride Sweeps Scalf
In 2008 Greensboro College became the first USA South institution to sweep the prestigious Don Scalf award. GC's Carrie Pacifico (women's tennis) and Daniel Poindexter (baseball) earned the conference's highest honor.

Ben Norman Picked to CoSIDA National Team

Greensboro, N.C. -- Greensboro College senior Ben Norman (Blowing Rock, NC/Watauga) was named to the 2008-09 CoSIDA Men’s Soccer Academic National Third Team.

Norman, a senior midfielder from Blowing Rock, NC, has a 3.81 cumulative GPA and is majoring in business. He tallied 18 points (five goals, eight assists) for GC this season. The Pride finished 2008 with a 10-8-1 record.

Norman was picked to the USA South third team earlier this month. Last May, Norman was presented the Craven E. Williams scholar athlete award, the highest GC honor for academics and athletics.
