SALEM, VA. – Greensboro College had its five game win streak snapped tonight against SUNY Cortland. Junior Mike Lewis led a balanced Cortland attack with 12 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds as the Red Dragons defeated The Pride, 64-43, in the opening round of the Roanoke College Domino's New Year's Tournament.

Adam Powell (Stuart, FL/Jensen Beach High) led the Pride with 12 points. Greensboro was held to just 26 percent shooting from the floor (16-of-61), while Cortland made 48 percent of its shots (28-of-58).
Cortland junior Paul Oliver finished with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Sophomore Ron Evans scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting and senior Carson Niehoff added 10 points and five rebounds.
Cortland opened the game on a 10-0 run, capped by four points from Oliver, and a Manning three-pointer with 10:21 left gave the Red Dragons a 19-3 advantage. The Red Dragons led by as much as 23 points in the opening period at 40-17 with 1:12 left and held a 40-22 lead at the break.
Greensboro (5-5) will play Penn State Abington in the third place game Saturday at 1:00 pm. SUNY Cortland (4-3) faces host Roanoke in the final.
