Greensboro, N.C. -- Greensboro College junior Andrew Clark (Ottawa, Ont/Ashbury College) was named to the 2008 NSCAA First Team Scholar All-American team.
Clark, a business major, previously earned COSIDA All-Academic team honors and NSCAA regional first team honors. Sporting a 3.81 GPA, Clark led The Pride with 25 points on 11 goals and three assists. He was a first team all USA South performer.
Clark is the 21st Greensboro College student athlete to earn a national academic award. He is the first in men's soccer since Derek Schroll in 1996.
"First team national recognition is a huge honor and I'm proud of Andrew," said GC Head Coach Bill Brady. "This is a great tribute for Andrew, for Greensboro College and our men's soccer program."
