Here's some detail about Coah Whitney Gelin and her team's activities.
Miracle League Baseball
The Pride participated in a baseball game with the Miracle League of Cary, NC. It is a league that helps children with disabilities play baseball. "Each athlete had a child to help during the game," said Coach Gelin. "It was a great experience that we would like to have again in the future."
COMPETITION
GC played at NC States Softball Complex On October 4th. The Pride faced WSSU and Queens."We got better as the games went on," said Coach G. "We hit well but couldn’t string the hits together to produce a run and we had zero errors on defense. We are looking forward to the start of our spring season."
TEAM BONDING
After the games, The Pride camped out at Falls Lake. They set up tents and cooked dinner over the fire. "We shared some team bonding moments and told funny stories," Coach Gelin said. The next day we went to the Carolina Outdoor Recreation Center and Participated on a high and low ropes course.
