Jessica Clack, a former standout Pride player and a 2007 graduate of Greensboro College, was named head softball coach at Pfeiffer University.
Clack earns the promotion to head coach after last year’s experience of working with the team’s conditioning, outfielders and slappers. Clack was already involved in the daily operations of recruiting, practice planning, academic monitoring and travel coordination in the softball office.
Clack went to Pfeiffer after an exceptional career at Greensboro College. She completed four seasons for the Pride during which she received accolades. She was named to the All-Conference team three of her four seasons, and took home the USA South Conference Player of the Year title in 2006. Clack finished her career hitting .377 with a .468 slugging percentage. She also stole 34 of 37 bases--and drove in 71 runs.
A native of Clayton, North Carolina--and current member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association--Clack earned her B.S. in Exercise and Sports Studies from Greensboro College.
Coach Clack and her Lady Falcons open the 2010 campaign at the UNC-Pembroke tournament on Saturday, February 6th. She replaces former mentor Todd Bradley who accepted the head coach post at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
