WINCHESTER, Va. - For the second straight day, No. 8/20 Shenandoah University used a sixth inning rally to push itself past Greensboro College for a USA South Conference baseball victory. Also for the second straight day, the GC defense failed the Pride as the Hornets (7-3, 2-2 USA South) completed the sweep with a 7-6 win.

Matt Irwin (Asburn, VA/Stone Bridge) had two hits apiece for GC.
Greensboro (4-8, 0-4) committed a pair of errors in the sixth inning Sunday which allowed all three SU runs to be unearned.
The Hornets, who were trailing 5-2 heading into the bottom of the fifth, saw designated hitter Cory Nelson get things started in the sixth with a single through the left side off of Pride reliever Cory Saulsbury (1-2).
After Mike Smith sacrificed pinch runner Kurt Krout to second, GC second baseman
Bobby Amato (Cooper City, FL/Pembroke Pines ) failed to come up with Keaton Neeb's groundball at second base, allowing Kraut to come all the way around for the tying run.
A stolen base and a groundout came next before junior Kevin Brashears gave Shenandoah a lead it would not relinquish by driving in Neeb with a single to right.
Brashears eventually scored what proved to be the game-winning run after stealing second base and coming home on Jon Holcomb's single to right.
The rally made winner of junior Bobby Stefanowicz (2-0), who came on in relief in the middle of the fourth and allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and one walk in 3 2/3.
Sophomore Kyle Scallion recorded the final four outs for the Hornets, registering his second save in as many days and his third of the spring. His first out, a strikeout, came with the tying run on third base in the bottom of the eighth.
Trailing 7-5 in the eighth, The Pride scored one run but left two runners on base.
