Steven Pfeiffer and Tyler Barlow committed to play baseball at Greensboro College, announced Pride Head Coach

Pfeiffer arrives after spending his freshman year at Catawba College. Pfeiffer (6-3, 215 pounds) is a first baseman, can pitch, and play the outfield. He played a reserve role as an Indian in 2010.
A graduate of North Mecklenburg High School, Pfeiffer lettered for two seasons on the varsity baseball team. He was voted Mr. Viking (Best Teammate) and had the highest GPA on the team his junior and senior years. Pfeiffer also was a member of the National Honors Society, vice President of the Latin Club, and was in the Top 10-percent of his graduating class.
Barlow is a freshman from Ponte Verda, Fla. An outfielder, he played four years of high school baseball for coach Danny Chapman. He was a first team all district selection. Barlow also played four years of football. Tyler (5-11, 165 pounds) is the son of Mike and Lori Barlow.
Pfeiffer and Barlow join ten previously announced GC baseball newcomers.
Greensboro College is primarily an undergraduate college, also offering four master's degrees. Coeducational and independent, the institution is located near downtown Greensboro. It was founded in 1838 and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
The college enrolls approximately 1,260 students from about 30 states, the District of Columbia and 21 nations. The school features a strong liberal-arts program and a 16-sport athletic program.
