Last Season's Meeting: Caleb Jennings ran for 155 yards and scored one touchdown as Emory & Henry (2-0) defeated Greensboro (1-1), 28-6, at Jamieson Stadium. The Pride's lone offensive highlight was a 53-yard touchdown reception by Antwan Thorpe from Seth Adams that cut the deficit to 21-6 with 13:33 remaining in the game. Thorpe finished the day with four receptions for 89 yards to lead Greensboro. Adams, meanwhile, went 13-28 for 159 yards but tossed two crucial interceptions. The game was scoreless until 12 seconds before half when Emory & Henry quarterback Dustin Beck found Corey Ware in the end zone for an 18-yard scoring pass. Beck was 11-23 for 124 yards passing on the day. The Wasps added two more scores in the third quarter on a two-yard Jennings run and a 61-yard punt return by Adam Pugh. Emory & Henry tacked on the games final points with 3:03 to go on an 11-yard touchdown pass from Drew Piscopo to Cody Bridge. Allen Stallings led the Greensboro defense with 14 tackles and one sack. The Pride finished the game with 231 yards while the Wasps racked up 377 total yards. Emory & Henry held a 36:24 to 23:36 advantage in time of possession.

Game Notes: Greensboro freshman quarterback Ryan Throndset made his college debut against Guilford...Throndset went 14-27 for 68 yards and one interception...Pride running back Kwame Petty put up the first points of the season on a 32-yard touchdown run with 1:08 to go in the game...Greensboro punter Donnie Leopold averaged 41.0 yards on 12 punts including a 69 yard blast...Emory & Henry took advantage of four Ferrum turnovers to defeat visiting Ferrum 41-10 in the season opener...The Wasps Adam Pugh had two rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown in the opener...Both Greensboro and Emory & Henry pitched first quarter shut-outs on Saturday...The Pride defense racked up 13 tackles for loss for 30 total yards compared to five for the Wasps...Emory & Henry played both Dustin Beck and Kyle Boden at quarterback...Beck had a running and passing touchdown while Boden had one touchdown toss...The Wasps finished with 25 first downs while Greensboro finished with six...
