Last Season's Meeting: Greensboro (1-3, 0-1) opened USA South play with a 50-0 defeat at Averett (3-1, 1-0). James Wilson ran for 155 yards and four touchdowns for the Cougars. Allen Stallings and Cody McCray each had nine tackles for The Pride. Wilson opened the scoring on Averett's first possession with a four-yard touchdown run. He would add a one-yard score on Averett's next possession. Jeremy Dixon kicked off a 24 point second quarter with a nine-yard touchdown grab and scored again in the frame on 37-yard reception. He finished the day with five catches for 112 yards. The loss was third in a row for Greensboro following a season opening win at Guilford.
