Erik Westberg, a former NCAA Division II quarterback, serves as the defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator for GC.

Coach Westberg comes to The Pride from Apprentice School in Newport News, Virginia, where he was the special teams coordinator and defensive line coach for the Builders. Prior to his stint with Apprentice School, Westberg coached the defensive backs at UNC Pembroke and inside linebackers at Lane College.

Coach Westberg is no stranger to the city of Greensboro as he worked at Guilford College from 2005-07 coaching the safeties and linebackers.

Westberg played collegiately at Southwest Minnesota State, where is was quarterback in the 1999 and 2000 seasons.  The New York native currently resides in Greensboro with his wife Susanna.
