Bill Young enters his 14th year as a member of the Greensboro College football coaching staff in 2012. He was promoted to Head Coach in March of 2012 after serving as the Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator.

Young becomes the fourth head coach in school history, following former GC Head Coaches Marion Kirby, Neal Mitchell and Dr. Randy Hunt.

Prior to Greensboro College, Young worked at the University of Virginia as a graduate assistant football coach and at Mars Hill College in North Carolina as assistant football coach and physical education instructor.

A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Young was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He earned a Master's degree in Education from the State University of West Georgia.

Young is married to the former Dawn Van Arsdale. They live in Greensboro and have a young son, Wil.
