Jim Cantamesa joined the Greensboro College men's basketball
staff in August of 2010.
Cantamesa played eight years (2000-08) of professional basketball
in Europe. He played for teams in France, Germany, Portugal and
Belgium. He was a Euro All-Star in '08, and was a member of a
Belgian national championship team in '05.
A native of Beaver Falls, Pa., Cantamessa attended Siena College.
He played for Coach Paul Hewitt (now at Georgia Tech) and led the
nation in the three-point shooting in '97. Cantamessa graduated
from Siena with a degree in business finance in '00.
"We are really excited about Jim being a part of The Pride men's
basketball program," Galuski said. "Obviously, he had success in
college and overseas. I think his background and personality will
be an asset to our student-athletes."
Cantamessa resides in Durham, N.C. with his wife, Kara Bitar.
