Kirk Mitchell Qualifies for Carolinas Golf Amateur Championship
Pride men's golfer Kirk Mitchell qualified for the 98th Carolinas Amateur on Thursday afternoon. Mitchell finished in a tie for 11th with an even par 71 at the Salem Glen Golf and Country Club.
Mitchell finished the day with three birdies, coming on the par three second hole, the par four ninth hole and the par five 14th hole.
Overall, 17 golfers in the 71 player field made the cut. The Carolinas Amateur Championship will take place on July 12-15 at the Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, NC.
Former Pride golfer Brock Elder placed second in the Championship last year.
