Jaeger Carlyle's goal 1:05 into the first overtime session gave The Pride men's lacrosse team an 8-7 win over rival Guilford. After completing 60 minutes of regulation with a 7-7 tie, Skip Jakupi controlled the opening face-off in overtime. Greensboro called a quick timeout to draw up the game winning play that allowed Carlyle to find the back of the net.

The Quakers took their first lead of the game in the third period, coming out of the half with two goals to take a 5-4 advantage. Blakely netted a hat trick with 1:13 remaining in the frame to tie the game up at 5-5 with one period to play.
