Men's Lacrosse Falls in Season Finale at Christopher Newport

The Pride men's lacrosse lost to Christopher Newport in its season finale on Sunday, 10-7.  Greensboro finished the year with an overall record of 8-8.

The Pride scored first on a goal by Jaeger Carlyle less than one minute into the game and took a 3-2 lead after one period of play.

The Captains rallied in the second with three unanswered goals until Ryan McNamara found the net with 18 seconds before the half to pull Greensboro to within 5-4.

Christopher Newport put the only two goals of the third period on the board to push the margin back to 7-4.  The Pride added three goals in the fourth but were unable to get closer than two goals in the defeat.

Greensboro outshot the Captains 42-32 overall and 27-18 on goal.  The Pride picked up 25 ground balls, won 11-20 face offs and converted 15-21 clears. 

Seven different players scored one goal apiece for Greensboro.  Mitchell Kanowicz made eight saves in goal.
