Head Greensboro College men's soccer coach John Trice officially announced the addition of Will Thomsen to his coaching staff. Thomsen joined the team over the summer and has been working with the squad since the beginning of fall camp in August.
A native of Charlottesville, VA, Thomsen played college ball at Radford University. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sport and Health. In addition, Thomsen earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Medicine with a concentration in strength and conditioning from Armstrong Atlantic State University.
His previous coaching experience includes a stint at Radford High School in 2008. During his tenure at Radford High, the team posted a record of 21-1-0 and won the 1A State Championship in Virginia.
"Will is a great addition to the Greensboro College family," said Trice. "I have had the opportunity to know Will for close to ten years since his time as a student-athlete at Radford University.
His knowledge and passion for the game combined with his expertise in the area of conditioning will help the program tremondously. I am extremely lucky to be able to add him to our staff as I feel he is a bright up-and-comer in the coaching world."
