Men's Tennis Defeated at Chowan, 7-2
The Pride men's tennis team was dealt a 7-2 setback on Saturday at Chowan. The loss drops Greensboro to 1-2 on the young season.
Matthew Miller and Matthew Troy earned The Pride's two victories of the day. Miller knocked off Adam Moneypenny at number one singles by a count of 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (10-4) while Troy outlasted Jacquese Williams at six singles 7-6 (9-7), 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).
Crosby Simms nearly earned a third singles win for Greensboro at two singles, falling to Sasha Kirsanov in a three set tiebreaker.
The Pride will again be on the road on Tuesday, travelling to Emory & Henry for a 3 p.m. match.
