The Pride women's basketball team recently welcomed the additions of Tabitha Thode' and Abby Baity for the upcoming season.
Thode' comes to Greensboro from Atlantic High School in South Daytona, FL. She was a four year varsity standout in both basketball and softball.
Thode' was nominated for the Female Athlete of the Year as a senior. On the hardwood, she earned All-Area Third Team honors following her senior season and was an Honorable Mention selection as a sophomore. Thode was also a three time Sunshine Classic Most Valuable Player honoree. On the softball field, she twice earned All-Area recognition, including First Team honors as a senior.
In addition to her success on the field, Thode' has also excelled in the classroom where she was a member of National Honor Society, Finesse Honor Club, and honor roll every semester of high school. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and won the U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award.
Baity joins The Pride after a stand out high school career in Statesville, NC. Baity was a team captain during both her junior and senior seasons. Both years she was honored as her team's Most Valuable Player.
Baity also earned recognition on the All-State Team and was a four-time All-Conference selection.
