Courtney Holt Commits to Pride Women's Golf Team

Courtney Holt, of Dalton McMichael High School, recently committed to the Greensboro College women's golf team.  While The Pride men's golf team has a history steeped in history and tradition, the Mayodan, NC prospect joins a women's program that is currently in its first season of play.

Holt was a three-time All-County and All-Conference honoree and received the Curt Bennett Award for the most courteous and devoted player.  She was also named team Most Valuable Player following her junior campaign.

According to her high school coach, Ronald Webster, Holt was "one of the most consistent golfers I have ever coached.  She was dedicated and always working on her game trying to improve."

Head Greensboro College men's and women's golf coach, Dirk Fennie, added, "Courtney is going to be a tremendous asset to our new women's program.  She has posted scores that will make her a very nice player for Greensboro College immediately.  With four years of tournament experience and practice at Greensboro College, I expect her to be a very solid Division III player."

Holt is expected to join the program in the fall of 2012.
