The Greensboro College women's lacrosse team (0-5 overall) was defeated on the road by Randolph-Macon (3-0 overall) on Tuesday 20-10.
Nadya Fedun started the scoring for The Pride with an unassisted goal 2:57 into the game. The Yellow Jackets would respond with four consecutive goals to grab a 4-1 lead at the 22:24 mark.
Brittany Ziobro put Greensboro back on the board with a goal with 19:47 on the clock. Randolph-Macon got the goal back 21 seconds later before Micaela Sandoval scored a man-up goal with 16:46 remaining in the half.
The Yellow Jackets would hit their stride from there, outscoring The Pride 9-2 to end the first half, going into the break with a 14-5 lead. Kirstin Norris provided both Greensboro goals.
The Pride scored three of the first five goals of the second half, with Kayla Gonzalez netting two scores and Fedun adding one. Randolph-Macon got hot again, recording four straight goals before Fedun finished the scoring with two goals in the final 2:30 for Greensboro.
Fedun finished tied with a game high four goals on four shot attempts. Gonzalez and Norris contributed two each. Ziobro and Sandoval both dished out one assist apiece.
Defensively, The Pride forced 13 turnovers, with five different players recording a caused turnover. Kaleigh Hemstock returned to net for Greensboro and made nine saves in the defeat.
The Pride will look to rebound on Sunday at Marymount. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
