Women's Tennis Finishes ITA Regionals
The Pride women's tennis team wrapped up the ITA South Regional Championships this weekend in Atlanta, GA. This year's ITA South Regional was hosted by Emory University.
Hillary Cook was the lone Greensboro representation in the A Draw, falling to Creekmore from Millsaps in the opening match.
Despite coming up short in the win column, Kristen Smith had another solid showing for The Pride. She fought hard in the first match against Tolsdorf of Centre but suffered a 6-4, 6-0 setback. Smith then faced off against Reed from Piedmont in the consolation draw but was handed a 6-2, 6-3 defeat.
Also competing for Greensboro over the weekend was Lauren Fisher, Elizabeth Adair and Brittany Cates.
The Pride have completed their 2011 falls season and will be off until the spring season begins.
