Position: Head Coach

Joseph Lisi (Lee-see) enters his second season as head coach of The Pride men's and women's tennis teams in 2011-12.  Lisi arrived from Springfield College in May of 2010, where he was an assistant coach and formerly a tennis student-athlete.

In addition to coaching the Springfield College men's team for two years, Lisi completed his Master’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in coaching from the Massachusetts college. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in movement and sports studies from SC in 2008.

During his time as an assistant coach, Lisi helped to develop one first team all conference singles player in the 2009 season. In 2010, he had a second team all conference singles player, and a second team all conference doubles team.

A native of Southridge MA., Lisi was a standout tennis player for the Pride. He played number one doubles and number two singles for SC, and was team captain during his junior and senior years.

"I am very excited to be a part of Greensboro College's proud outstanding athletic tradition," Lisi said. "Having the opportunity to coach both the men's and women's tennis teams is a great honor. Greensboro College impressed me from the minute I stepped onto the campus and am looking forward to working with both the staff and students to produce two very competitive programs."

In addition to coaching, Lisi will work as a building manager at GC’s Royce Reynolds Family Student Life Center.
