1.5.2009 | Women's Volleyball
Wingate, N.C.----Thirteen student-athletes, representing eight institutions, comprise the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) College Division All-State volleyball team released Friday. Greensboro College's Kacie Hyatt was named to the All State first team.

Dione Eccles of Greensboro College is the USA South Women's Basketball Player of the Week. The Clemmons, North Carolina senior guard led The Pride to a 3-1 record during the holiday season by averaging 20.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
In an 87-75 victory over Mt. St. Vincent, Eccles tallied a team-high 21 points with six rebounds, two assists and one steal. In a 65-60 loss at Wesley, Eccles scored a game-high 19 points with seven rebounds, three steals and two assists. In an 81-35 win over Maryville, Eccles contributed a game-high 23 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal. Finally, in a 94-39 victory over USA South foe Mary Baldwin, Eccles scored 17 points, grabbed a game-high eight rebounds, collected two steals, dished out one assist and blocked one shot.
